Government contract data & API

License the structured US federal and state opportunity and award data that powers WinAContract — SAM.gov-sourced and enriched with NAICS sectors, set-asides, named buyers, and deadlines. Delivered as a CSV export or a REST API for analysts, GovCon tools, and researchers.

A commercial data offering. This is the raw, structured feed — for teams that want the data itself, not the workflow around it. If you want to search and bid on this data instead, use the free contract search or run your pipeline in the Platform. Data access is licensed — contact us for access and pricing.

What's in the dataset

Every record arrives normalized and enriched on ingest — so the slicing and cleanup you would otherwise do by hand is already done.

Opportunities & awards

Live solicitations and historical awards in one normalized schema — title, notice/solicitation ID, type (combined synopsis, sources sought, RFP, RFQ), status, and the linked award when one exists.

NAICS sectors

Each record is tagged with its NAICS code and a human-readable sector label, so you can slice the market by industry instead of scraping free-text descriptions.

Set-aside designations

Small-business set-aside flags — 8(a), WOSB / EDWOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, and full/open — parsed into clean enumerated fields rather than buried in notice text.

Buyers & agencies

The buying department and sub-agency, normalized so the same office reads the same way across thousands of notices — with contracting-office detail where the source provides it.

Deadlines & dates

Posted dates, response deadlines, and award dates in consistent ISO format, so deadline windows and time-to-award are queryable out of the box.

Award values

Award amounts and awardee details where the source publishes them — the basis for spend analysis, incumbent tracking, and market-sizing.

How you get it

Pick the delivery that fits your workflow — a flat export for analysis, or a live API for products and pipelines. Many teams license both.

CSV export

For analysts and one-off research.

  • Flat, documented schema that opens straight in Excel, Sheets, or your warehouse loader.
  • Filtered extracts — by NAICS, set-aside, agency, state, date range, or status.
  • Scheduled refreshes so your model always pulls against the latest cut.

REST API

For tools, apps, and pipelines.

  • JSON over HTTPS with key-based auth, pagination, and field-level filtering.
  • Query by NAICS, set-aside, agency, state, posted/closing date, and keyword.
  • Incremental / change-since endpoints so you sync deltas instead of re-pulling everything.

Who licenses the data

GovCon tools & products

Power a contractor-facing app, a matching engine, or a CRM enrichment layer with a clean opportunity + award feed — instead of building and babysitting your own SAM.gov ingestion.

Market & competitive analysis

Size a sector, map agency spend, and track incumbents over time. Enriched NAICS and set-aside fields make the segmentation work you would otherwise hand-code already done.

Research & data science

A consistent, normalized dataset for academic, policy, or quantitative research into federal and state procurement — without wrangling raw notice text into shape first.

Coverage & freshness

Federal (SAM.gov) + top state portals · updated daily
  • US federal opportunities and awards sourced from SAM.gov.
  • Top state and local procurement portals, normalized into the same schema as the federal data.
  • Refreshed daily — new notices, status changes, and awards flow through on a rolling basis.
  • Enrichment applied on ingest: NAICS sector labels, set-aside parsing, and buyer normalization.
  • Historical award records alongside live opportunities for trend and incumbent analysis.

Source of truth. Our data is sourced and enriched from public records and is intended for analysis and discovery. It is not the official record. Always verify the authoritative details of any opportunity or award — dates, terms, and submission requirements — on SAM.gov and the relevant state portal before acting on them.
